Modalities and Approach
A Blend of Eastern and Western Wisdom
My approach combines the structure and insight of evidence-based Western psychology with the depth and subtlety of Eastern healing traditions.
This integration allows me to meet each client’s needs on emotional, physical and energetic levels, creating a truly whole-person experience.
My work is grounded in the belief that the mind, body and spirit are deeply interconnected. By drawing from a wide range of modalities, I tailor each session to meet you where you are and support both immediate relief and lasting change.
Core Supporting Modalities
-
Integrative Psychotherapy
A flexible, client-centred form of therapy that draws on approaches such as narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based methods and somatic awareness. This creates space for deep listening, personal insight and emotional safety.
-
Movement Practices
Including yoga, yoga therapy and Qi Gong, movement is used to release tension, improve physical balance and reconnect you with your body’s wisdom. Gentle, mindful movement supports the integration of therapeutic insights into daily life.
-
Breathwork
Guided breathing practices help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress and bring clarity. Breathwork may be incorporated into therapy sessions or offered as a stand-alone practice.
-
EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
A gentle method combining focused attention with tapping on acupressure points to release emotional blocks, shift limiting beliefs and restore balance.
-
Flower Essences
Flower essences are gentle, plant-based remedies used to support emotional wellbeing. Selected based on your individual needs, they may be offered as a complementary tool alongside therapy to help ease transitions, lift mood or support resilience.
-
Somatic Awareness
Somatic awareness involves tuning into the body’s sensations, posture and movement patterns to better understand how emotions and experiences are held physically. This gentle, body-focused approach can help release tension, increase self-awareness and support a deeper sense of presence.
